Who this covers
This policy covers doormanlaunch.com and the calls, texts and emails that come from it. Doorman Launch is a business run by Jesse Carson. When this page says “I” or “me”, that’s who it means. The site is for business owners and product founders, not for children, and I don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
What I collect
- What you type into the form: your name, business name, mobile number, email, your website or Instagram, your answers to the questions, and which text message boxes you ticked. On the launch form: your product’s name, a link to it, and the best time to call you.
- Consent records: the date and time you ticked each text message box and the exact wording you agreed to.
- Calls, texts and emails between us, including voicemail transcripts.
- Where you came from: ad and campaign tags in the link you clicked, if there were any.
- Basic technical data: what my hosting provider logs for every website, such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested. The launch form also sends your browser’s time zone, so I call at a good time for you.
I don’t buy lists, and I don’t collect payment card numbers on this site. Payments run through Square under Square’s own terms.
How I use it
- To read your answers, decide whether we’re a fit, and get back to you.
- To send the texts you agreed to, such as your booking link and reminders.
- To prepare for our call and, if you become a client, to do the work and send invoices.
- To see which of my ads bring in the right businesses, if the Meta pixel is on (see below).
- To keep records the law requires, and to protect the site from spam and abuse.
I don’t sell your personal information, and I don’t share it with anyone for their own marketing.
Text messages
If you tick the first box on the form, I’ll text you about your request and your fit call, including booking links and reminders. If you tick the second box, I may also text you about offers and updates. Neither box is required, and you can use the form without ticking either one.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to stop getting them, and HELP for help. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. Text message opt in data and consent are never shared with any third party.
Who it is shared with
Only the service providers that run the business, and only what each one needs to do its job:
- Quo, my phone and texting provider, for calls and texts.
- My customer pipeline, where leads and notes are kept.
- Vercel, which hosts this site.
- Google, for my calendar and email.
- Cal.com, for booking your fit call, once the calendar is on this site.
- Square, for invoices and payments if you become a client.
- Meta, only if the Meta pixel is on, and only the page visits and form events described below.
I may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect my rights or someone’s safety.
Cookies and the Meta pixel
The site itself doesn’t set tracking cookies. When I run Meta ads, I may turn on the Meta pixel, which sets cookies and tells Meta when someone visits a page or finishes the form, so Meta can show my ads to the right businesses and tell me which ads worked. When you send the form, a scrambled (hashed) copy of your mobile number and first name may also go to Meta, so it can match the form to the ad you saw. When someone’s answers show we’re not a fit, it tells Meta that too, with the reason and no personal details, so my ads stop reaching businesses I can’t help. Meta handles that data under its own privacy policy. You can block cookies in your browser and manage ad settings in your Facebook or Instagram account.
How long I keep it
I keep lead information for up to 3 years after we last spoke, and client records for as long as tax and contract law require. Consent records for text messages are kept for at least 3 years after the consent ends, because the law asks me to be able to show them.
Your choices and rights
- Reply STOP to stop texts at any time.
- Ask me what I have about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. I’ll answer within 30 days. I may keep what the law requires me to keep, such as consent records and invoices.
- California, Nevada and New York residents have privacy rights under their state laws. I honor these requests no matter where you live, and I never sell personal information.
Security
I use reputable providers, keep access to your information to myself and the services listed above, and never put secrets in the website’s code. No system is perfect, so if something ever goes wrong with your information, I’ll tell you.
